Flowers and Decoration

Carrie Freeland organises a rota of those wishing to provide flower arrangements in the church.

Volunteers usually do two weeks’ coverage, with the option of being able to choose weeks which have an especial significance for them.

At present we have about 22 people on the rota and are always anxious to have more.

If you would like to ask about joining, please contact Carrie:

Harvest Festival

By October (when our service is normally held) the harvest is well and truly over but sterling efforts are always made with apples, squashes and assorted vegetables.

The Harvest Festival service is immediately followed by a buffet lunch set up at the back of the church. Invariably this is hugely successful and is a wonderful way to show off your own efforts and congratulate others on theirs. It no doubt helps that wine is available in the Bell Tower.

Volunteers are always sought to raise our Christmas Tree, decorate it and fix holly, greenery and candles around the church in time for the annual carol service.

Every year, the church looks magnificent.
